Admission , the University takes place in 2011 from June 20 to July 10. On direction "Journalism" submission of documents ends July 5. Applications for contracts paid training will be accepted from March 1 to July 10 (for applicants on direction "Journalism" to 5 July).

Studying in MGIMO, you can choose one of the directions of training: international relations, foreign area studies, law, journalism, Economics, political science, advertising and public relations, management, sociology, business, geography.

Depending on the chosen faculty, the applicant must pass subjects such as history, social studies, Russian language, mathematics, literature, geography. For admission to any of the faculty will need to take a foreign language.

Most of the exams in MGIMO is held in the format of the exam, in addition, as an additional test, you must pass a written foreign language. "Journalism must also go through a creative competition.

If you chose the Department of international journalism of the faculty of International journalism, you need to provide their own creative materials, which are considered by the examination Board for creative competition.

The results of additional tests and examinations at MGIMO are assessed on a 100-point scale. If the entrance exam you scored less than 60 points for the next test you are allowed.

The entrant can enter the University without entrance examinations, if is the winner or the winner of the final stage of all-Russian Olympiad or a member of the national teams of the Russian Federation, participated in international Olympiads in General subjects.
