When working with a desktop computer generally use the BIOS menu to change the video card. Turn your PC on and press the desired key. Its name you can see in the starting boot menu.

The choice of application depends entirely on the manufacturer of the CPU installed in your computer. Install the program Nvidia Control Panel or AMD Power Express.

Restart your laptop and open the installed app. In case of Nvidia, select your video adapter and go to "Activate." Wait for the change of the graphics device.
