To disconnect the modem from the computer, use the safely remove hardware. Find the modem icon located in the lower right corner of the "Desktop" on your computer, click any mouse button and then on the inscription "Extract". You should receive a pop-up window "the Equipment can be extracted", remove the modem from the USB connector.

To disable Internetconnection through a modem, lock your sim card in it. To do this, remove the sim card and insert it into your mobile phone, enter the requested PIN code and the PUK code, which you can find in the documentation for the sim card.

Please, dial the command: *105*00# and press the call button. On the screen appears the inscription: Servis-Gid 1 – Ustanovit/razblokirovat parol to Answer? Click OK. Then enter the number 1 and click OK again. After a few minutes your phone will receive an sms containing a password to enter the system "Service-Guide" on the site "MegaFon".

Go to the official website of the company "the Megaphone". Click on the words "Service Guide" in the upper-right corner. Enter your username – your phone number in ten-digit format of the received sms password and the security code that is shown in the picture under the forms for entering username and password. Click on "Log in".

On the opened page, enter the section "Services and tariffs". Then "Lock number". Enter the date from which you wish to block the Internetconnection through the modem, and then click "Install". Locking will be valid for 6 months. After this time, you can extend it. Here you can unlock your sim card again to use it. Service remove/install lock is free.

In addition, to disable the modem "MegaFon", refer to the passport at any office of customer service "the Megaphone".
