1
To install an operating system without an optical drive can be internal or external (connected to USB) hard drive.
When you install from an internal drive this is done easiest if you have two or more hard drives. If the Winchester one, it should be divided into several sections. In the absence of several key sections you should remove the Winchester from the computer and connect it to the computer with a proper operating system. Then produce the necessary markup to mark one primary partition, format it (preferred file system - FAT32 permitted formatting in NTFS, but this complicates the process of installation), copy the distribution files in the operating system.
2
If the winchesters a few, then just copy the operating system distribution into the root folder of any hard drives (in addition to which then is to be installed).
3
Then to start the installation process, you will need a DOS bootable media that you can create in the environment of Windows operating systems formatting disks or flash drives. To simplify the installation process, you can also copy to media any of the DOS-Navigator (Norton Commander, DOS Navigator, Volkov Commander).
4
Boot from the bootable media. After starting the DOS prompt navigate to the I386 folder of the Windows distribution and enter the command winnt.exe or winnt32.exe depending on the type of the operating system.
5
This starts the process of installing the operating system. After completing the first stage of installing the download to your hard disk with the installed system.
6
Start from external media is no different from installing an internal drive, but you can install Windows from the hard drive without the need for additional boot devices, and making the boot hard drive, and booted with it.
7
To do this, connect an external hard drive to the computer and use to prepare the hard disk of one of the plurality of intended programs — PE-to-USB, WinSetupFromUSB or the like. After this installation from an external hard drive will not differ from the installation from a standard CD.
