The fuel pumps
Fuel high-pressure pump mounted on the injection and diesel engines, where they provide for the operation of solenoid valves with divider (nozzles) which inject the fuel into the combustion chamber during its flow under high pressure. Most of these devices mounted on the fuel tank injection vehicles, removing them from the fuel rail to the injectors (through the filters). Fuel high-pressure pumps are divided by type of work for electrical and mechanical model.
The start-up of the fuel pump occurs simultaneously with the engine, after which it runs continuously, maintaining a desired fuel pressure in the fuel system. In the process of engine operation, after the approach of the piston to TDC, the electronic system sends current to the injector which opens and releases the fuel under high pressure. Malfunction with the fuel pump
If the car becomes hard to start, stall and abruptly "fall" at high speeds, it is necessary to diagnose the pressure in the fuel system. To do this, use the special pressure gauge, measuring the figures on the ramp. If the numbers are below those specified in the instruction to the car in the first place you need to check all the fuel filters if they are clogged, fuel will not pass through them, and the pump will be a colossal burden. When working filters are the cause of the problem may be a worn fuel pump that needs to be replaced.
To test the fuel high-pressure pump without pressure gauge, you need to start the engine, whirling it up to 2000-3000 rpm. Falling at the same speed or rough running of the engine indicates faults in the fuel pump. In addition, good working pump should be absolutely silent.
Also the problem may be in the valve RTD, which do not have a high fuel pressure. A skilled car owners often tuning their pumps, successfully reaching higher pressures, but it creates an increased load on the unit, with the result that his life is sharply reduced.
