The first step is to define the desired translation direction. If you have a penchant for the technical Sciences, then perhaps you should look for a technical College, where along with studying to be an engineer or a specialist in the technical field are offered training technical translators. If you have no desire to learn technical subjects, feel free to choose the translation faculty of Humanities of the educational institution.

In order to enroll in the interpreter, you must know one foreign language – English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. You will have to pass an entrance exam in this language. Usually training in the Institute starts with in-depth study of this foreign language, and then, with more senior courses, added another one or two languages. Note that not all Universities have the opportunity to choose studying languages. In most educational institutions do not conduct scheduled training Oriental or rare languages. Considering all these factors, you will be able to choose two or three universities that meet all your requirements.

Every UNIVERSITY holds open days. Visit all your chosen universities or institutions. You can find detailed training plans, possible forms of education (internal, correspondence, internally-correspondence). Talk to the teachers of the translation Department, find out the requirements for entrance exams and recommended textbooks for preparation.

And finally the most important is training in the required disciplines. Usually future translators check for knowledge of the Russian language, foreign language and history. Do not postpone the training at the last moment. First, the material is better absorbed if you prepare slowly. And secondly, so it will be easier to adjust to the recommendations issued by the University.
