How to change medical policy

From 1 January 2011 entered into force the Federal law 326-F3, which allows to choose independently the insurance company to change policy to get the document of the new sample, which will be valid throughout the territory of the Russian Federation. This law does not force citizens to immediately replace a previously issued document with a new one. All of the issued policy , it will be valid until 2014, and it is possible to receive medical care throughout the Russian Federation.

In all regions will occur a gradual change of policies in the new models. In some regions of the old policies will change on new documents as from 1 January 2012.

As before to obtain a policy at the place of work, study, residence or by personally contacting the selected insurance company. All working citizens can get medical insurance of the new sample at the place of work. For this you need to provide to the authorized person of the old sample policy, passport. After 30 days will be issued a new medical insurance policy. For a period of 30 days will be given a temporary certificate of insurance.

Non-working citizens, children, pensioners, the policy will change when contacting the local administration. You need to submit the old card, passport, pension certificate, employment history or help from the employment service, children's birth certificate. As mentioned above, the new policy will be given 30 days within which the person will use the temporary insurance certificate.

Students can obtain a new policy at the place of study or place of residence. You need to present a passport or birth certificate (under 14 years), student cards, old policy.

All citizens, regardless of whether they are working, pensioners, the unemployed, students, pupils, can convert medical insurance directly by contacting the selected insurance company and presenting the old policy, documents proving the identity.

Policies OMS of the new sample will not need to change when changing the place of work, study or residence. As the collection and entry of information in electronic media to all citizens will be issued an electronic card, which will be all included patient information, medical history and other medical information. Any doctor will be able to determine the current disease by looking at the history of the patient, regardless of his place of residence and the location of the ambulatory card.
