Bacteriological analysis of urine allows in laboratory conditions to distinguish bacterial cultures and to study their properties. The indication for the study is the frequent and painful urination, pyuria and other symptoms indicating a urinary tract infection. In addition, analysis is required after a course of treatment. On the basis of its results assesses the effectiveness of therapy.

Prepare a container to collect the urine. As a rule, it is issued in the lab, which will conduct the study. In addition, sterile container for biomaterials can be purchased at the pharmacy.

Swipe hygienic procedures. Rinse the vulva with boiled water to avoid contact with urine, bacteria, sweat and sebaceous glands. Do not use soap and antiseptic solutions, it can lead to unreliable results.

Collect urine in a sterile container prepared. Women must pre-enter a cotton swab in the vagina to prevent spillage of secretions into the urine sample.
