Download the appropriate version of Kies from the official Samsung website. On the resource manufacturer's phones there are two versions of this program is Kies and Kies 3. The use of a particular version is determined by the operating system of your smartphone. Download Kies 3 if you use the phone Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note III and more new models which are running Android 4.3 and above. For the rest of the devices will be the Samsung Kies.

Install the application on your computer using the downloaded installation file, follow the instructions on the screen. After the procedure is completed, run the program and connect your device via USB cable that comes in one set with the camera.

After connecting the device the program will automatically install all the necessary drivers and will offer necessary updates to the software. Hit "Refresh" if you get a dialog box that offers to upgrade the phone system to the new version.

After the operation you will be available to control functions of data stored on the device. For example, you can synchronize data by clicking on the "Contacts" in the left panel of the program. Then click on the menu "Synchronization" and select Outlook. The phone book of the smartphone will be synchronized with the "Contacts" section of Outlook and can also be restored using this menu use the option "Restore".

To sync contacts, go to the tab "Sync" - "Sync music". Select the playlist you want to add, and then click the appropriate button to begin the operation. After completion you can check the files copied to the computer and telephone.

To backup data, go to the tab "Backup" of your device and select the items you want to keep. This option will help to recover the desired data in the event of data loss during use of the apparatus. After selecting points, hit "Backup" and wait until the operation completes.
