You will need
  • fresh or frozen flounder
  • knife
  • cutting Board
  • hard sponge
Rinse the flounder under cold running water. Most often this fish is sold gutted. If it wasn't so clear the sole from the inside and again wash well with water. Scales from flounder without peeling it. But the fins are cut off.
On a cutting Board, place a flounder. Along one side of the fish with a knife make the cut.
Pry out the cut with a knife. Thumb gradually tear off the skin from the meat. Need to move from tail to head.
Left hand firmly press the fish to the table, holding it by the tail. The right hand separate the skin from the pulp. If necessary, cut off the fish's head.
