To change the screen refresh rate (Hertz enlarge) click in any blank area of the desktop with the right mouse button. From the drop-down menu select "Properties" and click it with any mouse button to switch to the display properties.

To invoke the properties window of the screen and the other way. Using "start menu", open "control Panel". When the classic view window click on the "Screen" by clicking on it with the left mouse button. If the window is in category view, click "appearance and themes" then click on "Change screen resolution" or click the left mouse button on the control panel icon Display.

In the opened window "Properties: the Screen" navigate to the "Settings" tab by clicking on it with the left mouse button. On this tab click "Advanced" to invoke the Properties window Module, connect the monitor and (the name of your graphics card)".

In the invoked window click "Monitor" tab by clicking on it with the left mouse button. On this tab you need the section "monitor Settings". Before changing the refresh rate of the screen (zoom in Hertz), make sure that the box "Hide modes which monitor cannot to use" is a marker. If this box is unchecked, the dropdown list will contain all the possible indicators. Choosing the wrong refresh rate can cause malfunction of the monitor or even to the failures.

Then from the drop-down menu for "screen refresh rate" select the desired mode (60 Hz, 70 Hz, 72 Hz and so on) – set the desired frequency by clicking on the appropriate item with the left mouse button. Click "Apply". Desktop configuration changes. Confirm the command by clicking in the window that appears, click Yes. To exit setup mode, press the "OK" button in the properties window for the module connection of the monitor and then the display properties window or click the "X" in the upper right corner of the window.
