The order on reduction of number or staff is made by the employer in any form, although you can use any samples from the reference and legal system. It may be of the order changes to staffing or the order of events, layoff, for example. The order is assigned a number, and the date, and also the formal cause of his publications, for example In connection with carrying out organizational-regular actions the command...".

The main part of the order of reduction is reducing the list of posts with the indication of their amount and belonging to a particular structural unit, and the date from which future changes take effect.

In addition, the order should reflect the whole complex of measures carried out in connection with personnel changes in the organization. You must specify to whom and in what terms should: decide who will be dismissed by name; to notify the employment service that they will have new clients; prepare notice to employees and to familiarize them with the latter; to offer, in accordance with the labor legislation of redundant employees another position at the company if there are vacancies; finally, to prepare the orders on the termination of the employment contract.

The employer is obliged to make the order on reduction of number or staff and to familiarize them with dismissed employees not later than two months before the dismissal. However, to enter into force it needs exactly the same time that the order for termination of the employment contract with the employee, otherwise, there is a paradox: the regular unit has already been reduced, and the employee on it for two months still works, and on what, in fact, base?..

Publishing of order of dismissal of the employee is the final stage of a complex of actions for redundancy. The basis for the order on the reduction of posts is the usual form of an order on termination of the employment contract, which is, in any legal system. This unified form T-8, approved by the Decree of Goskomstat of Russia from 05.01.04 No. 1.

In form T-8 made standard details: number and date of order, name of organization and unit, the name and position of the employee is terminated, his personnel number. Also, the document introduces the details of the agreement with the worker the employment contract and the termination date (last day of work).
