Take long grain rice. Loop it by removing the debris and damaged grain. Put the rice in a deep bowl and cover with cold water. Rump rubbing between your palms, rinse the rice. Drain the water. Continue to rinse the rice until then, until the drained water is absolutely clean. Then fold the rice in a colander and give it a little dry.

The first method

Take a cast-iron pot with a thick bottom – it is best suited for cooking crispy rice. If no pot, use an enameled pot. Pour water into the pan. The amount should be two times more than rice. Put water on the fire and bring it to a boil.

Salt the water to taste and put in it washed rice. Mix well with a spoon, avoiding grains sticking to the bottom of the pan. Cook the rice for 3 minutes on high heat, lid tightly closed. Then reduce the fire to medium and continue cooking for another 7 minutes. Then make the fire low and cook the rice for another 2 minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat and without opening, put it in the oven, preheated to 150 ° C for 12-15 minutes. Then crisp rice can be flavored with butter and serve.

The second method

Use this method when cooking crispy rice for a side dish to meat or fish dishes. Fry in any vegetable oil grated carrots and chopped onion until soft. Add to the vegetables, washed rice and fry all, stirring, on low heat for 15 minutes.
