  • A TV with a built-in USB port or USB media player

Insert the flash drive into the USB port on the TV. The USB slot is usually located on the back of the TV and is no different from the USB slot on the computer. Make sure the stick is fully connected to the TV because a bad connection the TV will not be able to open the drive.

Turn on the TV and select the USB input. TVs with multiple connectivity options such as HDMI and VGA have the different login options, which will allow you to easily switch between the connected devices. A USB memory will not appear if your TV does not have USB input. To connect the USB drive to this TV go to the next step.

Buy USB media player for TV, for example, Western Digital TV Live Hub, NBox TV Media Player and CVJI-E50 SD Card + USB Media Player for TV.

Connect the power cable to the USB media player and the other end of the cord into the outlet. Connect the media player to the TV using the supplied composite or component cables or using a separately purchased HDMI cable.

Insert a flash drive with video files USB port a media player.

Turn on the TV and set it to the input that is used to connect a media player. Use the remote control to switch to "Video" or "Movies" (depending on device) and press the Enter button to view the list of videos.

With the arrow keys, scroll through the list of videos. Select the video file you want to view and press Enter on the remote to start playback.
