First, select the model of the future coats. Find or build a suitable pattern.

Strut old sheepskin coat and cutting a new product according to the pattern. Don't forget about the seam. But note that for sections that are above, allowances are not given. For convenience, you can mark where the necessary allowances on the details of the paper pattern.

The seam inside the coat does not differ from similar seam on some other product. Prostrochite details in the direction of the pile. Thanks to this line will look much neater, and sew product will be much easier.

Treat open cuts on all parts, attaching the straight stitch with a wide step. Also the edges can be processed with bias binding.

Proceed to the pockets. They are cut without seam. If you want to run fur lapel, then take it apart and sew a pocket with change of direction of the pile. So on the pocket and on the lapel of the pile is facing down.

Join the parts of sheepskin. Treat the edges with zigzag stitching to not mess with time.

The next step is to the zip. Variants of buckles there are very many. This is the usual Welt loop, a Welt loop in the frame by the clasp brake, hanging loops, buttons, special clasps, buckles, and so on. The huge popularity have clasp brakes. You can buy them in the store, or make your own. To do this, take a detail of fastening of the required size, determine the length of the cord. Attach it with glue to the wrong side of the fasteners of the clasp. Then pin the resulting closure to the parts shelves and Topstitch in place.
