Instruction
1
Draw a plan for the future of the poster. You must pre-define the place for slogan, body text and images to create a coherent composition. Remember that details should not be too small: a poster should attract attention from afar and immediately to convey the necessary information.
2
Make the background. If you draw a poster on the colored cardboard or paper with pattern, additional decorations will be extra. But most often the basis for the poster is simple a sheet of Whatman, the shape and color of which can be free to experiment. It is the background will set the stylistic tone of your poster. Cut out paper in the form of unfolded scroll, and "aged" it with paint or tea, you will emphasize the formality and solemnity of the poster. Bright watercolor background will make it more tender, and dark, on the contrary, will give a contrast.
3
Write a slogan. Usually posters are created for any particular reason. They are designed to warn, to inform, or to congratulate with the upcoming holiday. The slogan should reflect the essence of the message in one short and succinct phrase that can be expressed in 2-3 words: "Congratulations on the promotion!" or "beware of the dog!". Below the letters are not "danced" and not crowded as on the promotional poster of the authorship of Ostap Bender, mark their outlines with a pencil. So you will be able to find the optimal size and distance between words.
4
Pick up the pattern. The image says a slogan, an equally important part of the poster than the text. To move the selected image on the paper you can print it on your computer or redrawn independently, relying on the eye. Those who have not yet discovered the talent of the artist, you can use the technique of an application. Make a funny collage from magazine clippings, old posters and postcards. Don't be afraid to stick large items: coins, buttons, pieces of fabric, lace and fur. They always look good on the posters.
