Instruction
1
Disconnect all connectors and contacts containing gold. You should know that a thin layer of the precious metal cover the many elements of the parent boards: PCI Express, AGP, PCI, ISA, IDE connectors, CPU socket and DIMM slots.
2
Make electrolyte bath. Fabricate the anode and cathode. The anode should be done of copper, and its shape should allow it to be attached to your raw materials. For example, it is possible to make it in the form of a basket. The cathode is made of lead.Pour into a suitable laboratory capacity concentrated sulfuric acid. Connect the charger and pass the electric current through the bath. The copper in the raw material dissolves and deposited on cathode, and gold forms a sediment at the bottom of the tub. It should be remembered that during the electrolysis the temperature of the solution, which is in the bathroom, is greatly increased.
3
Allow time for the solution to cool and settle. Carefully drain the maximum possible amount of sulfuric acid in the prepared capacity.
4
Carefully pour the remaining precipitate into the flask with water. It should be remembered that to pour water into acid is extremely dangerous - acid can spatter. Therefore, the acid is always poured into water, not Vice versa. Filter this solution using the appropriate paper filters.
5
Will consider the components of the resulting solution using a mixture of 35% hydrochloric acid and 5% chlorine bleach, taken in the ratio of 2:1. It should be remembered that this reaction takes place with release of chlorine, which is a very dangerous element. Therefore, it should be spending very carefully.
6
Again filter the resulting solution. As a result of this filtering, all the impurities will gather in the filter, leaving only the gold chloride.
7
Take the powder of sodium metabisulfite and mix it with water. As a result of this reaction you will get sodium bisulfite.
8
Highlight the gold in the precipitate with sodium bisulfite. Allow the solution to settle. Grey sludge at the bottom of the tank - metallic gold.
9
Melt the powder in a crucible, using an oxygen-butane burner. It should be remembered that the melting point of gold -1064 degrees.
Note
You should know that all the reagents used for the extraction of gold, are extremely dangerous. Moreover, the occurrence of most chemical reactions takes place with a sharp temperature increase and release of harmful substances. Therefore, all work must be done very carefully. Always use protective gloves and glasses.
