You will need
  • glue for plastic;
  • - acetone or cleaner for plastic;
  • - the tampon;
  • - sandpaper No. 1000;
  • - brush, spray or syringe;
  • - soldering iron or a heat gun;
  • - the valves (if necessary);
  • - clamp or press.
Instruction
1
Find out the composition of the plastic that you are going to repair. This is extremely important, because for each of this material scientists have developed a special glue. For example, polyethylene, you can just glue a special compound that changes the surface structure of this turbulent material and increases its ability to mate with another part. And for the other plastics you will need epoxy, solvents, or other compounds.
2
Note that the quality of the glue must not only provide good adhesion (adhesion) plastic surfaces, but also to resist strong mechanical impact and the sudden change in temperature and humidity. Consult with a competent seller of building material store!
3
Definitely stick to the manufacturer's instructions. Usually plastic parts prior to bonding is recommended to carefully handle fine sandpaper and clean them from dust and other contaminants. For degreasing, wipe the material with a cotton swab soaked it in acetone. Instead, you can use a special cleaner for plastic masses.
4
Tightly stow the bonding parts to one another. The quality of fit must be checked with a finger the surface finish of the sanded surface to prevent bumps and roughness.
5
Give aligned and cleaned the plastic to dry completely. Then apply glue with a small brush or sprayer. For example, experienced craftsmen, for narrow gaps, you can use a filled adhesive composition disposable syringe.
6
To reinforce large cracks and chips at the leaky plastic by using glass fiber, or reinforcement stitches pereplavleni (glued) strips of dense fabric. Thermoplastic (i.e. weight, easy to heat processing) can be pre-soften with a soldering iron or building a Hairdryer and put a layer of small metal particles.
7
Very much push the plastic part with a special holder (clamp) or press. Make sure that the product is not sold! Usually this pressure is recommended to continue for at least one hour, although the duration of the process depends on the specific material and temperature conditions. So, when heated, thermoplastics enough to withstand the product under pressure for half an hour until cool and the glue will not harden). If you are gluing plastic without heat treatment at room temperature, it must lie at least half day before use.
