Instruction
1
For making rice porridge, use only short-grain rice. Go through carefully, remove any dark seeds. Rinse the rice in several waters to remove all traces of rice flour.
Pour 1 Cup of rice in two cups of warm water and leave to swell for 1-2 hours.
2
Put the saucepan on the fire. Put grits in a piece of butter, this will prevent the rice from sticking to pans. Bring to a boil, cover, cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes. The rice should swell and become soft. Then add 1 Cup milk, reduce heat to low and simmer until the milk is completely absorbed.
3
Remove the porridge from heat, stir, add salt, sugar to taste. Leave the porridge for 5-10 minutes under the lid.
4
For very young children, RUB the rice through a metal sieve and dilute with milk to desired consistency. If the baby is allergic to cow's milk, you can cook porridge on water, and after wiping through a sieve to get her breast milk, or lactose-free milk mixture sold in stores.
