The duration of wearing mourningand may vary: 3 days, 9 days, 40 days, 6 months, a year, several years or even a lifetime of mourning. This term depends on the degree of proximity of a person to the deceased. The most severe and prolonged mourning is observed in relation to the husband or wife, children and parents.
