"Sumamed" - a broad spectrum antibiotic that has activity against gram-negative, gram-positive, intracellular and anaerobic organisms. The drug is contraindicated in hypersensitivity to macrolide antibiotics, severe abnormalities of the kidney and liver. "Sumamed" for infusion cannot be used in patients under 16 years of age.
The antibiotic causes side effects such as anorexia, headaches, allergic reactions, disorders of taste and clarity of vision, pain in joints, weakness and hearing impaired.
