You will need
- Persons older than 18 years:
- 1. The statement in 2 copies;
- 2. The document confirming the existence of a legitimate source of livelihood (e.g. job reference);
- 3. A document confirming knowledge of Russian language;
- 4. The document proving the identity;
- 5. Birth certificate;
- 6. The passport of one of parents with nationality of the Russian Federation;
- 7. Confirmation of renunciation of citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- 8. A Soviet passport or identification card of a stateless Person;
- 9. Marriage certificate/divorce;
- 10. Reference from place of residence;
- 11. A certificate stating that the person is a stateless Person;
- 12. Matte photos 3X4 – 3 PCs;
- 13. Receipt of payment of consular fee.
- Persons under 18 years old:
- 1. The statement in 2 copies;
- 2. Birth certificate of the child, and in the presence of the passport;
- 3. The identity document of the applicant (not the child!), indicating the citizenship of the Russian Federation;
- 4. The child must consent to the adoption of the Russian citizenship (for children from 14 to 18 years);
- 5. The consent of the other parent;
- 6. Marriage certificate/divorce of parents;
- 7. Reference from place of study;
- 8. Certificate from the place of residence of the child;
- 9. Three matte photos of the child and the applicant 3X4;
- 10. Receipt of payment of consular fee.
Instruction

The application for acquisition of citizenship of the Russian Federation shall be submitted personally by the applicant, under 18 years of age. If citizenship is given to the child, the application is submitted and his or her parents or legal representatives. The application must be made in Russian in two copies.

Before going to the Embassy or Consulate you need to remove copies from all documents and to assure them at the notary in Russian language in single copy. After submitting all the documents is the consideration of the application and the decision on acquisition of citizenship of the Russian Federation. In a simplified order of citizenship of the Russian Federation can obtain an adult (over 18 years) if they: 1. Have at least one parent-RF citizen residing in the territory of the Russian Federation;

In a simplified order of citizenship of the Russian Federation is given to children (under 18), if: 1. One of the parents has citizenship of the Russian Federation (at the request of the parents and with the consent of the other parent, with the child residing on the territory of the Russian Federation the consent of the other parent is not required);
2. A single parent has citizenship of the Russian Federation (at the request of the parent);
3. Child (incapacitated person) is under the care/custody of the Trustee/guardian).

The application may be rejected if the applicant: 1. Represents a threat to the security of the Russian Federation;
2. Five years before the date of application had been banished outside the Russian Federation;
3. Presented false documents or incorrect information;
4. Has a conviction on the territory of the Russian Federation or abroad;
5. In criminal prosecution by the relevant authorities of the Russian Federation;
6. Serving a penalty of deprivation of liberty (before expiration of sentence).
