Instruction
1
Take the pliers, an awl or scissors (whichever is at hand) and very gently remove the restrictive brace located at the top and bottom of the zipper.
2
Remove the faulty slider and note its markings, written on the back surface. To repair it is not necessary to use the sliders from the old lightning, because a breakdown can happen again. Better to buy a new runner in a fabric store, in the Department of accessories, together with a restrictive brace that will not allow the slider to fly with the lightning.
3
Grab the slider and start to insert the first left and then the right half of the zipper. Ensure both sides entered the slider to the limit.
4
Gently but firmly hold the edge of the zipper with one hand while the other gently push the runner forward. If you're doing it right, the runner will easily fit in the "teeth" of the zipper.
5
To the place where once stood the old restrictive brace, put on a new one. Be careful not to break the limiter clamp pliers.
6
Check the efficiency of a runner several times buttoned and unbuttoned with the zipper. If the slider effortlessly "glides" along the zipper, the operation of repairing your favorite things is successful.
