Freezing is one way of cleaning the inside of the shell. Fold the clams into a plastic bag and place in the bottom of the refrigerator. After a few hours, place it in the freezer for 2-3 days. Then fill the package halfway with cold water and again put it in the lower part of the refrigerator. Such manipulations are necessary to prevent cracking smooth shiny shells. After thawing of water a day, remove the body of the animal from the shell with a fork or wire.
Cooking clams in salty or sweet water – allows you to quickly clean the shell. However, this procedure is not very pleasant, as the smell when cooking is enhanced. Cooking time, depending on size, ranges from 1 to 6 minutes. Shells with a shiny surface is put into warm water, slowly bring to the boil and cooled. Gently remove the body of intense shaking. Cleaned and dried the shells and fill with cotton wool and glue the cap if it is. To add luster and color of the sink, apply a baby cream or oil.
