Find out whether the motherboard supports dual-channel mode boards memory. For this study the user manual to this device. In the absence of paper documentation you can use the information posted on the developers website.

To examine the characteristics of units of dynamic memoryused in your computer. Download and install AIDA or its outdated version of Everest. Run this utility. Wait until you finish collecting information about the connected devices. If you want to use free software, install CPU-Z or Speccy.

Expand "motherboard" and select SPD. Examine the settings of the connected modules of memory. To work successfully in dual channel mode the Board should match the following characteristics: the type, the timings, the data transfer speed and volume.

If the units used are suitable for the realization of dual channel mode, turn off the computer and remove the unit cover. Make sure that the motherboard memory installed in paired slots. Typically, these connectors are shaded in the same color. Reinstall one module, if necessary.

If you have four cards of the operational memory, place them in the correct sequence. Be aware of the fact that pair sockets are not always nearby. Guided only by the color of the slots.

Close the system unit and turn on the computer. Check the activity of the desired mode. To do this, open the BIOS menu and find the item to configure the modules memory. Activate the Dual Channel.

Save the settings. Download the operating system. Re-run the program Everest. Open SPD and make sure that the modules work in dual channel mode.
