To create a bootable USB drive you may need additional software. Connect USB drive to computer or laptop with operating system Windows. Insert the startup disk into drive of PC. If you have a file image of such a disk, use Daemon Tools Lite to work with it.
Open the start menu and select Run. In the new window type cmd. Press Ctrl+Shift+Enter. This will allow you to run the command prompt as administrator. After the launch of the working window enter the command list disk. Determine the number under which is registered the desired USB drive and type Select Disk "number."
Now enter the following command, separating each one by pressing Enter:
clean partition on the flash card)
create partition primary (create new partition)
select partition 1 (select the new partition)
active (mark "active")
format fs=fat32 quick (quick format in fat32)

Creating a boot file
You got a clean USB drive ready for OS files. You need to create boot sector is available on your installation CD. This procedure is done by entering the following command: X:\Boot\bootsect.exe /NT60 Z:
Z: is the drive letter of the USB drive from which you will install Windows Vista.
X: is the letter of your DVD drive or virtual image with the installation files.
Now just copy the contents of the installation disk to a USB drive. Note on hidden files and folders. If you do not want to carry out this procedure manually type in command line
xcopy X: Z: /s /e /h /k

Connect the USB drive to the netbook and turn on your computer. Enter to BIOS menu. Set the boot priority to the correct flash card. This can usually be done in the menu of Boot Options or Boot Device Priority. Sometimes it is enough just to press F12 at the initial stage of inclusion of the netbook. This will open the menu of quick change boot devices and select the flash card. Wait until you start setup of Windows Vista and follow the instructions on the screen.
Don't forget to return the hard drive first in the boot device list after the first reboot. Otherwise, the installation procedure will start again.
