  • - computer with DVD drive;
  • - Windows 7 installation disc.

Some modern mobile computers do not have built-in DVD drive. If you don't use disk drives in daily life, it makes no sense to purchase a USB drive. Install operating system from a flash card.

Find a suitable USB drive. Its volume should exceed the size of the archive of the installation files of the operating system. Turn on the computer from which you will prepare a USB flash drive. Remember that this PC needs to be DVD drive.

Connect the USB drive. Now press the Win key and R. This will start menu "Run". Type cmd, and press Shift, Ctrl, and Enter. If you are using the administrator account, just press Enter.

Find out which figure is determined by your drive. To do this, enter alternate commands Disk Part and listdisk. In the following description, it will be assumed that the USB drive has the number 2.

Alternately, enter the commands shown below. Separate each of them by pressing Enter.

Using these commands you have formatted the drive and created an active boot partition. Insert the drive installation disk archives Windows 7 (Vista). Click on "My computer" and check the drive letter and USB drive.

At the command prompt type cd E: cd boot. In this case E is the drive letter of the drive. Write the boot files on a flash drive. To do this, enter the command bootsect.exe /NT 60 I:. Of course, I is the drive letter of the USB drive.

After performing the algorithm copy the entire contents of the CD to a USB stick. Connect the USB drive to the laptop. Turn on your computer and hold F2. Sometimes to start menu, Quick Boot you have to press F12.

Choose from the suggested devices, USB-HDD and install the Windows operating system.
