Before you put sculptured figures in the oven, carefully read the instructions supplied with polymer clay. There's a firing time based on the width of the product and the specific kind of clay. Usually the optimum temperature varies from 110 to 130 degrees.

Select utensils for baking polymer clay. This is best done on ceramic tile or porcelain ware. You can use regular baking pan, but only one where you don't cook the food. Otherwise, you can get light poisoning as polymer clay under high temperature emit toxic substances.

Place product on a baking tray and put in a cold oven. To the beads thoroughly, they can be spread on toothpicks stuck in crumpled foil. If they have no holes, lay out the beads on a paper, folded in the form of an accordion. Flat product is better to put on paper without a pattern and the pattern.

Turn the oven to the desired temperature and watch the time specified on the packaging with the clay. If the articles are to pull out prematurely, they eventually will crack and crumble, and if you are very overexposed – darken, the surface will become glossy and forms an unpleasant odor. To control the temperature in the oven with a special thermometer, sold in appliance stores.

Remove the finished product, leave them to cool or rinse under cold water. The last option will make the clay more transparent and flexible. After the clay has cooled and dried, it can do anything: skins, dyeing or washing.

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap solution, rinse the tools and wipe used surface at the end of work. If you burned in the oven intended for food purposes, wash her, too, not to get then poisoning. Then ventilate the area.
