Manufacturer of polymer clay

To make polymer clay at home, try to find PVA glue, which specified the word "plasticizers". Usually this ingredient is contained in the adhesive, which is designed for carpentry and furniture works. In a bowl mix one Cup of white glue and the same amount of corn starch. Stir with a spoon the resulting mass. Pour 1 tablespoon of paraffin oil and glycerol. Mix again.
Instead of corn starch for the manufacture of "cold porcelain" you can take potato starch. The finished polymer clay is with a slightly grayish tint, but if you plan to paint, then it can be neglected.

Dump the mass out of the bowl on a Teflon pan. You must have a separate pan for such work. It is impossible for her to cook. Put it on the small fire. Immediately begin to mix polymer clay with a wooden spatula. After one or two minutes the mass starts to stick to the spatula. Clean it on the edge of the pans and again heat. Knead small lumps until all the homemade clay will not end up in one big lump. Scrape off with a spatula all over the pan. It is easy to do while the mass is hot.

On a cutting Board pull the bag or wrap it in plastic wrap. Put on it resulting in "cold porcelain". The mass is not very hot, and knead it with your bare hands. If you are not comfortable, wear thick rubber gloves.

Thoroughly mix the pasty material. It is elastic and stretchable. If homemade polymer clay sticky, powder it lightly with corn starch. If you overexpose the "cold porcelain" on the stove, it can get hard and crumbly. Try to save him, vmesa a bit greasy hand cream or vaseline.

Staining and storage

For dyeing this type of clay use oil paints and dry food coloring. You cannot add acrylic paints as they are water-based. This clay will get soggy. Do not make a color from a large piece of homemade porcelain, it loses its plastic quality when you lie down. Why paint only the required working volume for crafts.
The original shades you can get, if you add the clay a small piece of lipstick. It is necessary to carefully mash to obtain uniform staining.

Finished "cold porcelain" wrap in a plastic bag and put in a plastic container with a lid. Store it at room temperature. No need to put clay in the fridge. When you will use polymer clay to make crafts, take the necessary piece of material, then the rest from cover with foil, then clay will not dry out.
