You will need
- - starch;
- - cold water;
- - boiling water;
- - container for glue preparation.
Instruction
1
Measure out the amount of starch. Pour water into it at room temperature. Stir the mass thoroughly breaking lumps. Starch is not soluble in water, you should get a homogeneous suspension of starch particles in the water — starch suspension.
2
Pour into prepared starch mass of the boiling water, continuously stirring in one direction, spinning the mass of the funnel, to avoid lumps.Follow the density of the mixture — the finished paste should have the consistency of thick jelly and to be transparent. Note that when the cooling mass of the paste thickens.
Can, conversely, to pour in the water stir starch in boiling water, rapidly stirring the mass. The starch should have a good brew. Better if the mass is on small fire. Mix the glue, to prevent it from burning to the bottom of the pan.

3
The finished paste to cool to room temperature. In the process of cooling periodically stir a lot of glue to form a dense film on the surface. Cooled, strain the paste through a sieve, cheesecloth or a nylon stocking to separate the possible lumps.
Note
Sometimes to improve clayish properties in the finished paste add carpenter's glue. When gluing some types of thin paper Wallpaper this paste forms a spot, therefore, the paste for Wallpaper carpenter's glue is better not to add.
Glue from starch are perishable, therefore, to make it necessary immediately before use and stored no longer than three days. Fresh paste has a high adhesive qualities. To prevent decay of glue for wallpapering with addition of alum or carbolic acid.

Useful advice
Starch paste — the perfect glue for children's art. Made of a food product, it is not dangerous for the child, even if accidentally gets in his mouth.
