Instruction
1
Create a portfolio in accordance with their profession. For example, portfolio of a journalist should consist of his best articles, professional photographer of quality photographs, including those that have been noted by experts and have won prizes in competitions. The model portfolio shows your photos or video with his participation, while the designer examples of websites, samples of interiors, advertising, etc.
2
Include in the portfolio a variety of examples of their work. For example, if you model, then select your photos in different genres. It is not necessary to include in the portfolio, too many similar works. If, for example, in the portfolio of the designer will be only one layout of the site and twenty-five examples of flyers, then such a person is unlikely to order the development of new sites, because his specialty is obvious.
3
Choose not only the best, but average for the quality of work. Of course, it is not necessary to include in the portfolio a bad sample, but it should not consist of solid masterpieces. Show a potential employer a few typical for you to work, so he did not make excessive demands. Otherwise, you may require too complex operation for a standard payment.
4
Never use other people's work when compiling their portfolio. It is illegal, unethical and will bring you nothing but trouble. Even if you will give out for other work of very high quality, and as a result will find some profitable orders, you still will not be able to run them at the proper level.
5
Organize a portfolio. Highlight category, and then divide all these categories so that a potential employer could easily find and assess the required work. Each category includes several specific examples. However, do not get carried away and do not turn in a portfolio with too many works – it is unlikely that someone will want to view each of them to assess your skill level.
