The taking "Essentiale Forte" allows to suspend the formation in the liver of connective tissue, while its main components in the form of phospholipids which restore the structure of cells and their original functions. Chronic administration of the drug is almost always marked normalization of metabolism in liver cells. The main indications for taking "Essentiale Forte" is the chronic form of hepatitis, chronic liver damage alcohol, drugs, radiation and heavy metals, fatty and alcoholic degeneration, and cirrhosis and psoriasis.

During pregnancy "Essentiale Forte" should be used only under medical supervision – although data on its adverse effects on the fetus has been received. Also "Essentiale" can be taken by pregnant, suffering from severe toxemia. In applying the drug in lactation breast-feeding it is desirable to suspend. Newborn or premature babies "Essentiale Forte" is contraindicated due to the presence of alcohol. To achieve a positive effect from the treatment, continuing the treatment for a period of from 2 to 10 months.

Capsules "Essentiale Forte" for teenagers older than 12 years and adults appoint 2 pieces 2 to 3 times a day. After 3-4 weeks of drug therapy this drug should switch to a maintenance treatment, including the intake of 1 capsule 2-3 times a day. For maximum uptake of phospholipids are required to take "Essentiale Forte" during or after a meal, swallow the capsule whole and washing them down with a small amount of water. Intravenous to children and adults the drug is injected slowly, at 5-10 ml per day, in severe cases, dose increase to 20 ml.

Often intravenous drug is administered for 10 days, supporting them in capsule form "Essentiale". Psoriasis treatment start with 2 capsules 3 times a day (2 weeks), after which the patient undergoes a course of 10 intravenous injection (5 ml) with concurrent PUVA therapy. After graduating from the intravenous course, the patient continues taking "Essentiale Forte" and finish oral treatment only after 2 months.
