Who is entitled to a pension for loss of breadwinner


Pension for loss of breadwinner entitled to disabled family members of the deceased who were dependent on him:
- spouse or parents are disabled or pensioners on age;
- minor children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, under the age of 18, including those born within 9 months after the death of the breadwinner;
- minor children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, enrolled full-time in any special education until the end of their education or until the age of 23 years;
- relatives of any age, caring for the children of the breadwinner before they turn 14 years old.

Grandchildren, brothers and sisters of the deceased will receive a pension if they are found guilty in the court of the incapacity of their parents. Children born in a civil marriage, can also receive a pension for loss of breadwinner if they were officially adopted them or paternity has been recognized by the court. Retirement care is assigned only one of the relatives, regardless of the number of underage dependents.


The amount of pension for loss of breadwinner


Minor children pension will get to a certain age, but dependants with disabilities and parents, rest of my life. In the General case the amount of pension is set at 50% of the income of the breadwinner for each disabled family member, but its minimum size is limited to 2/3 of the minimum old-age pension. To this rule there are exceptions. If the survivor happened in the case of war injuries, each disabled family member will receive a pension equal to the minimum old-age pension. If the children have lost both parents or are children of a single mother, the amount of pension in each set with a factor of 1.5 in relation to the minimum old-age pension.

In 2014 was provided for the indexation of pensions on 1 February and 1 April, but the government promises that in case of excess inflation, the norms, the indexing will be performed for the third time.

Please note that to apply for a pension for loss of breadwinner, should, within 12 months from the date of his death. In this case, it will charge from that day, but if the application is submitted later, to her family members of the deceased will be with the day when the application was filed.
