  • program UnErase.

To recover deleted files there are many programs, but mostly they are commercial. You can use the UnErase program with free trial period of use. Download the tarball then install it to your computer.

Run the program. In its middle window, select the disk partition from which the file was retired to the trash. Now at the top of the window, select Search for deleted files. Will start the process of finding files. Remember - the larger the capacity of the partition of your hard drive, the longer the process of searching for deleted files. To follow the process of finding deleted files you can use the strip that appears immediately after its launch. When the band reach the end, search to be completed.

The list of deleted files will appear in the middle window of the program. To move the list of files down by using the slider. Find your file and click the right button of the mouse. In the menu that will appear after that select Restore. POPs up an additional window. Click on the browse button in the top row and specify the folder to which you will restore the selected file. Then from the bottom of the window, click Next. The file is restored to the specified folder.

If you need to restore a specific file and you know at least part of its name, it is best to do so. In the main program menu, select Advanced search. In the line File name, specify the file name. Also below, if you wish, you can specify the deletion date of the file, this will speed up the search. Including you can select the type of the file and its approximate size. After that, click New search. The list of files with the parameters you have defined will appear in the middle window of the program. Procedure the immediate recovery of the file in the folder is exactly the same as in the previous case. The file is restored to the desired folder.
