1
Calculate absolute growth.
This index is defined as the difference between this (current) level of the series and the initial or previous level.
Basis determined by the formula: ?i=Yi–Yo
The chain determined by the formula: ?i=Yi–Yi-1
where Yi is the current value of number
Yo is the initial level of the series
Yi-1 – previous level
Example:
In 2005, sales amounted to 100 thousand rubles, in 2006 -110 thousand rubles, for 2007 - 121 thousand.
Absolute growth basis for 2006 amounted to 10 thousand rubles, for 2007 - 21 thousand.
The absolute gain of the chain in 2006 amounted to 21 thousand rubles, for 2007 - 11 thousand rubles
This index is defined as the difference between this (current) level of the series and the initial or previous level.
Basis determined by the formula: ?i=Yi–Yo
The chain determined by the formula: ?i=Yi–Yi-1
where Yi is the current value of number

Yi-1 – previous level
Example:
In 2005, sales amounted to 100 thousand rubles, in 2006 -110 thousand rubles, for 2007 - 121 thousand.
Absolute growth basis for 2006 amounted to 10 thousand rubles, for 2007 - 21 thousand.
The absolute gain of the chain in 2006 amounted to 21 thousand rubles, for 2007 - 11 thousand rubles
2
Determine the growth rate, i.e. the ratio of the current level to the initial or previous.
Basis determined by the formula: Tr=Yi /Yo *100%
The chain determined by the formula: Tr=Yi /Yi-1*100% Example:
In 2005, sales amounted to 100 thousand rubles, in 2006 -110 thousand rubles, for 2007 - 121 thousand.
Growth rate base for 2006 amounted to 110 %, for 2007 - 121 %.
The growth rate of the chain for 2006 amounted to 110 %, in 2007 - 110 %.
3
Determine the pace of growthand by subtracting from the rate of growth of 100%.
Basis determined by the formula: TPR=TRB – 100%
The chain determined by the formula: TPR=Sec – 100% Example:
In 2005, sales amounted to 100 thousand rubles, in 2006 -110 thousand rubles, for 2007 - 121 thousand.
The pace of growthand the benchmark for 2006 was 10 %, in 2007 - 21 %.
The pace of growthand chain for 2006 was 10% for 2007 - 10 %.
4
Determine the absolute value of 1% growthand by dividing the previous level of 100%.
A = Yi-1 /100% Example:
In 2005, sales amounted to 100 thousand rubles, in 2006 -110 thousand rubles, for 2007 - 121 thousand.
The absolute value of 1% growthand the chain in 2006 to 1.00 % in 2007 and 1.10 %.
A = Yi-1 /100% Example:
In 2005, sales amounted to 100 thousand rubles, in 2006 -110 thousand rubles, for 2007 - 121 thousand.
The absolute value of 1% growthand the chain in 2006 to 1.00 % in 2007 and 1.10 %.
Note
Growth rate growth rate absolute value of 1% growth expressed in percentage terms. The absolute value of the 1% increase only has the chain indicator. In the examples for the year 2005 the indicators are not determined, as no data of the previous level.
Useful advice
In the case where the comparison is with a period (point) of time, the initial in a series of speakers, get benchmarks; when compared with the previous period or point of time we are talking about chain performance.
