To modify a preinstalled sound schemes Windows operating system version 7 call the main menu by pressing the "start" button and click "control Panel". Type "sound" in the text box of the search string and expand the element is found. Find the desired sound scheme list, audio theme and confirm your selection by pressing the OK button.

To replace the sound of login in is not in the list, you must have administrator privileges and be the owner of the file Windows\system32\imageres.dll. Also make sure that the selected sound is stored in a format .wav, as other formats will not be reproduced by the system.

Return to the main system menu "start" and navigate to the "Programs" section, open the link to "Standard" and run the application "Windows Explorer". Find the file by name Windows\system32\imageres.dll and copy it to any convenient place on the computer.

Open the file using any resource editor and replace the component .wav to the desired one. Replace the original file with the edited, retaining his name. Return to the dialog "Sound" and use the "Browse" button at the bottom of the window. Make sure that you select the edited file and apply the check box on the field "Play the melody starting Windows". Confirm applying the changes by pressing the OK button.

Download and install on a computer dedicated application Startup Sound Changer allows to simplify and automate the procedure of changing sound when system boot. Open the context menu of the installed program by clicking the right mouse button and select "Run as administrator". In the opened main window of the application select "New sound greetings" and specify the full path to the saved file format .wav.
