Potato kebab
Kebab not only looks good, but will delight you and your family during lent. You will need (for 8-10 servings):
- 1-1. 5 kg potatoes;
- 5 tbsp vegetable oil;
- turmeric (to taste);
- salt and ground black pepper (to taste);
- greens (dill, parsley, onion) — optional;
- skewers, wooden sticks;
- meat grinder.
Thoroughly wash potatoes and boil in their jackets in salted water, then leave it for a while to cool down. Due to the fact that you boil the potatoes in their skins, the tubers will remain a starch, and meat will become sticky, contributing to the fact that potato sausages will be fine to stay on the sticks and not fall apart. Remove the potato skins and pass the potatoes through a meat grinder. Keep in mind that potatoes don't need to grind to the consistency of mashed potatoes. You can also just coarsely mash these potatoes.
The potato mixture, place in a deep bowl, add vegetable oil and turmeric, stir. The addition of Oriental spices will give the potato stuffing yellowish tint. Don't forget to salt and pepper according to your taste. Now leave the stuffing for 20-30 minutes, so he could stand.
Moisten hands with water and form the potato mass small sausages, and then string them on special wooden sticks or skewers. - 500 g of potatoes;
- 200 g salted pork fat;
- salt and ground black pepper (to taste);
- skewers, wooden sticks.
Wash potatoes well, peel and cut into thin rings. For this dish it is best to take medium-sized potatoes. Salt fat similarly cut into thin slices. Keep in mind the thinner you cut the fat, the tastier it will turn out the finished dish.
On skewers or wooden sticks must be strung, alternating, bacon and potatoes. Don't forget to season with salt and pepper to taste. In protiven, greased with vegetable oil, put kebab and roast in the oven at 180 ° C until tender. For cooking you can also use the barbecue facilities.
