You will need
- Wrap, special spray for cleaning of the engine, a large volume of water, a tank of compressed air, a microfiber sponge.
Instruction
1
To begin, remove the car battery and cover with polythene all the places that should not get wet (wires, electrical appliances, sensors, etc.).
2
Next, make sure that the engine has completely cooled down. If you start to wash a hot engine, there is a threat to water hammer, which could damage the air conditioner. Apply the cleaning spray and leave for a few minutes.
3
Then wipe with a special sponge (preferably Microfiber) all parts of the engine. On particularly contaminated sites can spray again. Do not leave dirty areas.
4
Then rinse well with the engine plenty of clean water, while ensuring water does not get inside the unit.
5
Then well dry the engine with compressed air. You can also allow the engine to dry naturally, but it will take much more time.
6
After you made sure that the engine is completely dry, you can remove the plastic, put the battery and try to start the car. If you did everything correctly, and water gets into the vital parts of the car, it should be easy to start. If not, allow the engine to Pocognoli (it is possible that water, despite all your precautions, you still got inside).
Note
Instead special cleaning spray you can use kerosene or thinner. They also do well on the dirt surface of engine.
For particularly stubborn dirt you can use the liquid to clean the carb. It instantly eats away any impurities, leaving only pure metal.
