To create shortcuts of running a certain program, look for its shortcut on the desktop or in the start menu.

If a program shortcut is missing, navigate to the directory of its location. Typically, programs are installed on the local C drive in the Program Files folder.

In the open directory locate the main executable file of the program (with the extension ".exe") and click the right mouse button one time. In the context menu, hover the mouse cursor on the line "Send" and in the list select "desktop (create shortcut)".

Right-click on the shortcut, run the program and select the line "Properties". Opens a dialog box containing information about the program and basic settings of the shortcut.

In the opened window, activate the tab "Shortcut". In the third block of the configuration window click on the word "No" opposite to "Quick call" to move the text cursor.

Click the alphabetic or numeric key on the keyboard that you want to add to the combination "Ctrl + Alt" for quick access to the program. After selecting the desired shortcut, click "Apply" and then "OK".

Press the key combination "Ctrl + Alt + X" (where "X" is the previously selected letter or number) and make sure that the program runs normally.

For controlling various operating system functions through hot keys open the Windows Explorer window.Open the advanced menu by pressing "Alt" on the keyboard. This menu includes basic operations on files and folders, manage connections, settings, properties window, etc.

Text strings of the names of the menu items contain underlined characters that are used for quick access. Press the underlined letter or digit to access a particular menu item and run an action.
