Instruction
1
Analysis of the platelets is carried out mainly during pregnancy, liver disease, immune system, varicose veins, and before and after surgical operations. Before writing to the study of blood consult with your doctor if you are taking any medications or have any chronic disease.
2
Tests recommended in the morning on an empty stomach. The last meal should be not less than 8 hours before analysis, and should avoid overeating and eliminate fried and fatty foods. Before the tests allowed to drink water normally. Before blood is necessary to exclude alcohol intake and not to smoke in less than 1 hour before the study.
3
Usually blood sampling is performed from a vein in the arm. Before the introduction of the needle, the doctor treats the skin with antiseptic, then he makes the introduction. In the process one may feel mild pain, and after removing the needle a small ripple.
4
The norm in the test is the number of 150 – 400 thousand platelets per microliter, however the rates can vary depending on the laboratory and ongoing research. For the interpretation of the results it is best to consult with your doctor.
5
Lower or higher results may be due to the intake of certain medications, presence of diseases (leukemia, anemia, hypersplenism, thrombosis, etc.), vitamin K deficiency, as well as some infections and as a result of mechanical impact, serious injuries and burns. Increased errors can be normal during pregnancy. But tests better still to family planning, because increased blood clotting can have a negative impact on the health of the unborn child.
Note
It is not recommended to donate blood after visiting other medical procedures. The reappointment of analysis is better to conduct a survey where the procedure was conducted for the first time.
