Instruction
1
Select a laboratory in which to test. Most medical institutions have web pages on the Internet that host information about the list of ongoing studies of DNA, the timing of the preparation of the results and the amount of payment for each test. Note the presence of a laboratory licensed to conduct the tests DNA, the level of personnel training and client recommendations.
2
Find out which biological material is preferable for the testand in your case. DNA analysis carried out on samples of blood, saliva, hair, and non-standard materials used napkins and handkerchiefs, blades, clothing etc.
3
To conduct the testDNA and the determination of kinship by blood you and your relatives will need to come to the lab. There you will take a blood from a vein with a disposable syringe in sterile conditions. Special preparation in this case is not required.
4
If you plan to take to testalternative samples, specify in advance the rules of their training. The laboratory offer services to custom fence of biological materials for research. However, it is possible to receive samples collected by the client. In order not to reduce the reliability of the results of the testand strictly follow the recommendations given by the laboratory staff.
5
For self-sampling of saliva to prepare for 2 cotton buds and 1 envelope for each person passing the test for DNA. Sticks best to use with a tip made of cotton. Do not touch the tips of cotton swabs so as not to spoil the testmarketing material.
6
Within the hour before taking the sample do not eat or drink. 20 minutes before the testand rinse your mouth with warm water. On envelopes, write information about each member of the testand: surname, name, patronymic, date of birth, date of specimen collection, the degree of kinship (mother, father, child, sister, brother, etc.).
7
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and make sampling of biological material. Easy cotton swab swipe on the inside of the cheek for 10-15 times. The other wand, take the analysis with a second cheek.
8
Dry cotton swab with saliva in a dark place at room temperature. After a few hours, when the material is completely dry, insert sticks in the appropriate envelopes and return to the lab.
9
To conduct a DNAtest on the hair, you need to provide to the laboratory a hair sample of each participant's test. To do this from the back of a man with tweezers or your fingers pull out 5-6 hairs. Please note that each hair had not damaged the root. Samples without roots (bulbs) for study is not accepted.
10
The hair of each participant's testand put in a separate envelope, signed in the same way as in the case of saliva samples. Put it carefully, not touching the roots. Samples must be taken in the laboratory within several days.
