In order to lightly clean up the mess on the desktop, you'll need to run the desktop cleanup wizard. To do this, look on the desktop of your computer from any free icons area and click right button of the mouse.
In the context menu, select "desktop cleanup Wizard" in the "Arrange icons". Opens the start window of the wizard purification with a description of what makes this utility. Click on the "Next" button located at the bottom of the window.

Select the labels that you can without impacting your work at the computer to move to a folder "Unused shortcuts". To do this, view the list of shortcuts, which opened in the next window of the wizard purification. About the labels you've used recently, will be the date of last execution. If you are running the app using the shortcut on the desktop, at least a week, I can safely put it in a folder for unused shortcuts, which will create a clean master.
Uncheck from checkboxes about those labels that you need daily. Click on the "Next"button.

Again check the list of shortcuts that will be removed from the desktop. If necessary, click the "Back" button and edit the list. Then click on the "finish" button. Your Desk cleaned.

Not to run every time the cleaning procedure manually, configure the desktop cleanup Wizard. To do this, in the context menu invoked by clicking the right mouse button on an empty place on the desktop, select "Properties". In the properties window click on the tab "desktop".
Click on the "customize desktop" and in the opened window put a tick in the checkbox "Run desktop cleanup every 60 days". Click OK and in the properties window, click Apply and OK.
