Carefully read the text. Think about what the author says he cares about. Remember that the core of the problem always lies the contradiction, conflict. In fact, the problem is the subject of discussion, some difficulty, dispute, controversy.The problem often lies behind the actions and speech of the characters, the biographical facts, historical events, which can be considered as illustration of the problem.

There are several types of problems. Determine what type of your text. Philosophical: the development of society, man's place in the world of people searches for the meaning of life.
Social: the device and the life of society, the rule of law, respect for human rights.
Political: the activities of the state authorities, the laws of civil society, the horrors of terrorism, nationalism and chauvinism, the causes of international conflict and war.
Moral: the spiritual life of man, relations between people (selfishness and humanism, kindness and cruelty, honor and dishonor, friendship and betrayal, intelligence and rudeness, conflict of generations).
Environmental: the relationship between man and nature, consumer attitude to nature, ecology and culture, and the ecology of language.

Select the method of formulation of the problem.First, it is possible to formulate in your own words: "the Author makes us think about the actual problem of choice of life". For this purpose you can use the question: "What influences the formation of human personality? What is the problem on which the author thinking?".Second, you can use the citation: "it should be in our life television?" - this question tries to find the answer of Leonid Zhukhovitskii".Thirdly, it is possible to specify the numbers of the sentences from the text, if the problem has already been formulated by the author.

Pick a standard design. In the text proposed for analysis in the spotlight (who?) - (what?) the problem (what?).
- In proposed for the analysis of the text (who?) for (what?) problems (what?).
- Proposed for the analysis of the text (who?) dedicated to the issue (what?).

Use words and clues.The problem (what?) complex, crucial, relevant, topical, scientific, ethnic, insoluble, painfully familiar.The problem (what?) education, education, nobility, preservation of native language, revival of the individual, tolerance.The author (does what?) painfully reflects, affects, analyzes, presents, proposes, elaborates.The author makes the reader (what to do) to think deeply, seriously..., a different view... to assess their own position, with the bitterness to understand.
