Instruction
1
Once you found a puddle of urine on the carpet, immediately grab a rag or paper towel and try to remove all the moisture. Then prepare vinegar solution: mix one part vinegar with three parts water. Dampen a cloth, which is not a pity to throw away, and carefully RUB the spot on the carpet. Ventilate the room and repeat the procedure again if still smells. Before you can use vinegar solution, try it on a less visible area of carpet to ensure that it will not shed and will not discolor.
2
Mix equal proportions of vinegar, water and pour on the place of formation of the puddles of cat urine. Then sprinkle the place with baking soda and carefully RUB with a brush dipped in dishwashing and carpet cleaning (for example "Vanish"). Leave the stain to dry and then remove the soda with a vacuum cleaner. But it is unlikely the smell will go away after the first treatment, will have multiple times to sprinkle the contaminated area with soda and a scrub brush.
3
For spot treatment on the carpet, use a regular soap or alcohol solution. But it is more effective to eliminate cat smell with the help of special tools that are sold at the pet store. Fortunately, the range is wide ("Soosan", "Zoovision" and others). Though these drugs are much more expensive home remedies, but perfectly cope with the task and cat odor on any surface.
4
Upon detection of a puddle on the carpet immediately treat this place with bleach solution. But note that it has a strong odor, which is not only unpleasant, but also affects the olfactory organs. Therefore, you can replace the bleach with a solution of lemon juice mixed half with water, hydrogen peroxide or a weak solution of potassium permanganate.
