The icon for the Internetconnection located in the folder "my Network places". A shortcut to this folder is standard part of the desktop in Windows, usually it appears automatically after the system is installed. If you have deleted this shortcut, you can return it via the component Screen.

Click on the desktop, right-click, select menu item "Properties". In the window that opens click "desktop" and click "customize desktop". In the additional window, go to the General tab and set the marker in front of the icon "my Network places". Apply the new settings. If you do not want to place a shortcut to "my Network places" on your desktop, click on the "start" button and simply select the menu "Network environment".

Pane common tasks in the left part of the window, select the task "Display network connections". If tasks are not displayed in menu "tools" select "folder options" will open a new dialog box. Go to the General tab and set the marker in the "Display list of typical tasks in folders". Apply new settings and close the window.

When you see all network connection, move the cursor to the icon "local area Connection" and click right button of the mouse. In the drop-down menu, select "Send", and "desktop (create shortcut)". Another option: move the cursor to the icon of the Internetconnection , hold down the left mouse button, drag it to your desktop.

If you need fast access Internet connection, but you do not want to place the shortcut on the desktop, place it onto the quick launch toolbar on the taskbar (the area to the right of the "start" button). To do this, hover over the icon, hold down the left mouse button, drag it to the taskbar.

If you are not able to place an icon on the quick launch bar, make sure it is active and available for editing. Click on the taskbar, right-click, in the drop-down menu, select "Tools". In the submenu "Quick start" must be set marker.
