1
The microscope consists of two main components: eyepiece and objective lens. They are secured in the movable tube, which is mounted on a metal base. For the same reason, is the stage. Also in the modern microscope,x often has a lighting system to better consider the object under study.
2
The lens is an optical device that projects an image on the plane. He is responsible for the useful magnification of the object. Most often, the lens consists of several lenses. The increase of the lens is approximately equal to the ratio of the focal length of the microscope to the main focal length f. lens. The increase is always indicated on the lens numbers. The most commonly used lenses in the development of the curriculum – x8 and X40.
3
The eyepiece is the part of the microscopethat is facing the eye. It is designed for viewing with some magnificationm of the image, which gives the lens. The eyepiece may consist of two or three lenses. Eyepieces do not help to reveal new structural details of the investigated object, and in this respect they increase useless. Magnification of eyepiece it is possible to find as well as increase any magnifier. It is the ratio of best vision (25 cm) to the main focal length of the eyepiece (f approx.). Most often used eyepieces with magnificationm 7, 10, 15. This is indicated by the numerals on the eyepiece.
4
For finding the optical zoom you'll also need the value of σ. This optical length of the microscope, which is equal to the length between the inner foci of the lens and eyepiece.
5
Based on the structure of the microscope, it becomes clear that the object of study is double the focal length on the other side of the lens. Thus, to determine magnification of a microscope is possible, knowing the magnification of the objective lens and eyepiece. It will be their work (N=σ*25/ f.* f approx.).
