Prepare USB drive to install Ubuntu
To create a bootable USB drive with Ubuntu use the program WinSetupFromUSB. To download the installation file WinSetupFromUSB 1.0 is possible with the many resources of the Internet absolutely free. Install the software on computer and run it. Confirm select the desired USB drive. Select Auto format it with FBinst. Next, select the Linux ISO/Other Grub4dos compatible ISO and specify the path to the disk image of Ubuntu. After that, the computer will display a dialog box with the query about the name in the boot menu - enter an arbitrary name. Press the Go button to create the installation stick Ubuntu. Keep in mind that during boot all of the files that may have been stored on the drive before will be erased.
Computer setup
To authorize the installation from the stick is necessary to make changes in computer settings. To do this, download the BIOS and set the USB drive as the first hard drive and first boot device in the boot device priorities. Don't forget to save changes when exiting the BIOS and make the computer restart.
Ubuntu Installation
Immediately after booting from the stick the computer will display a dialog box for language selection and use: install Ubuntu or run it without installation. Confirm "Install Ubuntu", the system language you can select Russian. In the next step the installation wizard will require you to check for available space and prompts you to confirm the installation of third-party software. This provision refers to the codec and should download. Follow the instructions on the screen until the installation wizard does not report the detection of another operating system (Windows). There are several options: you can remove Windows or install Ubuntu as a second operating system. The third option is for advanced users and represents a separate hard disk layout.
The most convenient option is to install Ubuntu as a second system. Select this option and follow the instructions of the installation wizard. It should be borne in mind that after clicking "Install now" there will be changes in the existing partitions and created new ones. This process will take some time. In the following steps you will need to select the actual time zone, keyboard layout and create an account.
After making all the data will start installing Ubuntu on the computer. When the installation is complete you will be prompted to restart the computer.
