Guide the preparatory work before installation, ie check your hardware compatibility with your version of Windows, consult the documentation for the Windows installation. Then create a partition on the hard drive and format it with the commands Fdisk or Format. Remember that the installation of the Windows distribution and normal operation requires at least 400 MB of free disk space.

Turn on the computer and by pressing F8, boot in command line mode (with support for reading data from floppy disk). If not installed on the computer operating system MS-DOS or you have problems when you run the command line, create boot disk Windows 98 with FAT32 support.

Start SMARTdrive if it is not started automatically. To do this, at the command prompt, type the path of the folder in which it is located, and type smartdrv, and then press Enter. Note
