The Swan Princess
It thus was created a beautiful painting of Mikhail Aleksandrovich Vrubel (1856-1910) "the Swan Princess", adorns one of the halls of the Tretyakov gallery. The enchanted Opera N.. The artist-storyteller
Perhaps the most famous paintings that Express the spirit and beauty of Russian fairy tales, masterpieces of Viktor Mikhailovich Vasnetsov (1848-1926). Images, familiar from childhood
Pushkin was inspired not only composers. Ilya Yakovlevich Bilibin (1876-1942) after a long work on his own style was the best, canonical Illustrator Pushkin. His brushwork, "Bilibino", was the simple graphics lines, colored with bright watercolors, in the abundance of Russian folk decor.

The marine realm
A large influence of V. M. Vasnetsov had and on the work of another Russian artist, Ilya Repin (1844-1930), became the prototype of the hero of the picture "Sadko" . Ilya Repin depicted the moment of Novgorod epics, when the sea king Sadko the minstrel shows of his daughters. The painting was bought by the future Tsar Alexander III, and the artist received the title of academician.
