How to add video subtitles

The subtitles are the script for the audio portion of a video file. They can be used for both training and people who suffer from hearing impairment. To set subtitles in the file, you can use the corresponding menu item used video player.

Most programs designed to play video files, have function of connect subtitles to playing video. Among the most common we can mention VLC Media Player, KMP and Media Player Classic.

Open the video file using any player. For this you can click on the video file with the right mouse button and select menu "Open with". In the list choose the most convenient program to play and press OK.

Right click on the playback area and select "Subtitles", then "Open file". Specify the path to the subtitle file you want to add in SRT format. After selecting the desired package will be downloaded and displayed on the screen during playback of the film.

Subtitles will be automatically included in the program of the video playback if they have the same name as the video file. They will be available to activate after pressing the right mouse button on the playback area and selecting the desired language track in the options "Subtitles".

If you want to overlay text onto the video, you can use specialized video editing software. For example, Movavi Video Editor allows you to insert video external subtitle file and save it. Download the program editor, and then install it, using the obtained installer file.

Open the downloaded program and add the video file by selecting "File" - "Open". Then transfer to the editor the subtitle file or to select "Captions". Import the correct subtitle file, or write your own comments to videos using interface elements. After the operation is complete, save the result, select "File" - "Save". Insert the desired subtitles can also be done through the option "Import" in the program window.
